The Shoalhaven Readers’ and Writers’ Festival will bring readers together in a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates literature. It will give them a chance to connect with each other and with authors, most of whom live in or nearby the Shoalhaven or have books inspired by the region.

For writers, it’s an opportunity to learn from established authors, participate in workshops, and to share ideas, knowledge and experience.

The brainchild of festival director Karen Morrow and a passionate team of volunteers, in the form of a board and a committee, the Shoalhaven Readers’ and Writers’ Festival is the latest step in the ongoing and exciting process of building Nowra and the Shoalhaven as a hub for the arts and creativity.

This year’s festival will feature a full-day program of sessions, panels and workshops for adults at the Nowra School of Arts and Shoalhaven Regional Gallery, as well as a free children’s program at the Shoalhaven City Library (Nowra).

You can find the full adult program here, and the Children’s Festival program here.
